I started The Kagan Corporation in 1995 by buying and successfully renovating homes throughout the Dallas area. Having re-designed and selling many homes through the years I noticed that most of the urban development taking place, especially in the Oak Lawn area, reflected soaring prices and a lack of quality modern/contemporary design. That was the catalyst for designing the Dwellings.

In the Dwellings I strive to offer a level of amenities you would not typically find at this price or design level. A private yard. Open floor plans. Real hardwood flooring. Granite and marble finishes. Stainless steel appliances and custom cabinetry. Spacious closets and storage. Rooftop access. Private balconies and yards. Security. And of course, great design.

The area east of Oak Lawn, Uptown East, which is where the Dwellings are located is quickly becoming a focal point for other developers. This gives this area the potential appeal of being a solid investment. To add to the style and attractiveness of the Dwellings I have limited each development at this time to no more than 8 units. Most other developers are generally building upwards of 8 units. I am trying to keep the Dwellings more unique by restricting the number of units.

My goal is simple: Always keep offering affordable modern design. Always designing a product that is different than what you already see . Always stretching the boundaries. Always designing each residence as if I would live in them myself.
